Verity and I had a wonderful walk through Cuthbert Holmes Park today. I used to wheel her through in the stroller and snap photos of her refracted through dewdrops.br /
br /
Then, the next year we went blackberry picking and she ate too many. br /
br /
This summer she is almost four and remembers the blackberries. She even picked a few unripe ones today. br /
br /
I explained they would not be ripe untill the Fall. She gently closed her hand told me she would hold them until then.br /
br /
Later I convinced her an even better outcome would be to plant them so they would grow into a whole bush of new blackberries next year, and she agreed and did so.br /
br /
The tradition is safe for next year now as well.br /
br /
This blackberry blossom is about one inch across. Processed from a single RAW file. Converted to Black and White using the infrared filter setting in Photoshop's Black and White conversion utility./p
